Mobile Massage

What is a Mobile Massage Therapist?

I have a brick-and-mortar location, and I am also a mobile massage therapist! If clients cannot see me in my place of business and are more comfortable in their own homes, I have all the necessary tools to set up my equipment in just minutes in your home or place of business.

Like with most things these days, like takeaway food, convenience has become king, which means almost anything you can enjoy a whole host of services from the comfort of your own home or business.

Seeking convenience isn’t a lazy option for many but a necessary one. With busy lives and schedules, traveling to an appointment or finding the time can be challenging. Mobile massage therapy offers a way to reap the benefits of massage still, but without going to a business location.

Relaxing Massage

This is also a viable way to get through a workday if you are struggling with muscle pain, as I can come through and lend a helping hand at your workplace. I can travel around making home visits and using my portable massage equipment, recreating a similar experience as if you were in my office.

The ultimate goal with most forms of massage is to relax the mind and body. If your home is one of the places you likely feel most comfortable and at ease, we should take advantage of that. That’s why mobile massage therapy can prove to be very effective.

Mobile or in-home massage is transforming how people enjoy and benefit from massage. People from all walks of life can access a massage from their homes. Massages are becoming very popular and are a great way to promote health and wellness. Choosing a home massage for the first time can feel daunting; however, here are some things you can expect from an in-home massage session.

Steps for Mobile Massage Therapy

I offer mobile massage therapy at various locations to clients, wherever they may be. Often visits can be at your home, hotel, or office, and I carry everything I need for a relaxing experience.

What Should I do at Home to Prepare for a Mobile Massage?

Before your treatment but on the day of your massage, I recommend following these simple steps below.

  • Please make sure there is enough space for my equipment.

  • Please provide access to water for treatment use and an available switch for any plug-in devices during treatment.

  • Show me where you would like your treatment to transpire, and then I can explain your treatment to you.

What can I Expect During a Home Massage?

During your massage, I will focus on the areas of concern you specify and work to alleviate them with targeted pressure and gentle manipulation. I will ask questions to learn more about your medical conditions and personal preferences during the consultation, allowing me to provide the most personalized treatment.

Things to do After a Mobile Massage Session

I recommend you follow my instructions after the massage is over. It would be best if you drank plenty of fluids to stay hydrated and improve circulation (no alcohol) and not engage in strenuous activities immediately after your treatment.

Pros and Cons of Mobile Massage Therapy

Mobile or In-home Massage therapy offers a lot of benefits to the recipient. Some of them are:

  • Reducing stress & anxiety – Relaxation for you and soothing for the body.

  • Reducing pain & soreness – Easing the chronic pain that comes with joint, muscle, or tendon problems.

  • Lowering heart rate & blood pressure – Feeling less stressed and more relaxed without medications.

  • Improving immune function – Reducing doctor’s visits

  • Improves your physical health and mental wellbeing

Massage has been used for centuries as a means by which to improve health and wellbeing. The practice has been proven effective at relieving many conditions, such as anxiety, digestive disorders, fibromyalgia, headaches, insomnia related to stress, low back pain, nerve pain, soft tissue injuries, and sports injuries.

Massage is inappropriate for people with bleeding disorders, taking blood-thinning medications, or having open wounds or burns. It can be dangerous if you have deep vein thrombosis (DVT), infections, broken bones (fractures), or osteoporosis.
